Longtime business owners Lenny and Cathie Oliveto recently established a new business venture.
Lenny and Cathie, both originally from the area, are the co-owners of Ices Run ATV Sales, which they started around the first of December.
The new business is located on Ices Run Road in a garage beside the couple’s home. The Olivetos also operate a towing service and junk yard called Ices Run Auto Wrecking, open since 1973.
The ATV business offers SunL brand four wheelers, mainly for children. Ices Run ATV Sales is currently stocked with smaller vehicles, and 17 models of different sizes are available at the store. The business also sells SunL utility vehicles, and can order larger four wheelers with up to a 700 CC engine directly through SunL.
“I can order anything that anybody wants,” Lenny said.
“They’re really a nice bike, and they’re reasonably priced.”
The Olivetos originally decided to open Ices Run ATV Sales because Cathie “wanted a little business of her own,” Lenny said. This is the couple’s first time working in four wheeler sales, but they have owned one of these vehicles for years.
Lenny said business is going pretty well so far. Lenny and Cathie sold about 10 four wheelers for Christmas. Now that the holidays are over, Lenny expects sales to pick up in the spring and around income tax return time.
Lenny, a retired firefighter who served Fairmont for 25 years, likes “the enjoyment of staying busy” as a business owner. Cathie has worked as secretary for the Marion County Solid Waste Authority for several years.
