Aron Majic strives to offer good customer service at his new business, Majic Touch Auto Detailing.
Majic Touch Auto Detailing, located at 206 Fairlane Ave., directly behind the Nautilus Connection in Fairmont, has been open for seven weeks.
Majic, born and raised in Fairmont, started doing car detailing when he was about 15 years old. After his dad showed him the ropes, he began cleaning the cars of neighbors who were elderly and couldn’t do the work themselves. While in college at Fairmont State University, he managed Core's Car Reconditioning.
“It’s just something I’ve always enjoyed,” Majic said.
When cleaning out a car, it’s satisfying to make a difference in the vehicle’s appearance and improve its condition, he said.
“When you get into detailing, it’s almost an art form,” Majic said.
He said he always wanted to own a detail shop and thought it would be a great business. And because he was familiar with this work, he felt like he could be successful.
Majic was formerly a scuba diving instructor in Key West, Fla. After being away from the Fairmont area for four and a half years, he decided to come back home to be closer to family and give his new business a try.
“I guess the stars lined up, and it just worked out,” he said.
Majic Touch Auto Detailing offers affordable quick washes, full washes and waxing, complete detailing, interior detailing and everything in between. Majic said the goal of the most extreme package, which is a complete cleaning, is to get the vehicle back to showroom condition.
“We’ve got a lot of different choices down here,” he said.
Majic is currently running a beginning of summer promotion with discounted prices as a way to get his name out.
He said the best part of his job is “seeing the look on a satisfied customer’s face.”
“My No. 1 goal is to make my customers happy,” Majic said. “We aim to please.”
He said he inspects each car before it leaves the shop and gives his “‘Majic’ touch to everything.”
The shop is keeping busy and getting a good amount of business so far, especially from clients of the Nautilus Connection and nearby doctors’ offices. Word is spreading about the services of Majic Touch Auto Detailing, Majic said.
“For how new we are, I’m very pleased with our customer turnout thus far,” he said.
