Joe’s Auto Glass LLC focuses on providing “the best price and the best service.”
Joe Kyer officially started the business in Benton’s Ferry in July. Joe’s Auto Glass offers replacement windshields and fixes chips in glass.
“We guarantee everything we do 100 percent,” he said.
Joe, who has 23 years of experience in this work, said he can replace any piece of glass in any vehicle. He started out working in a salvage yard and was previously employed at an auto glass place in Morgantown.
Joe was born and raised in Lewis County, but has been in the Fairmont area for more than 30 years. He lives in Benton’s Ferry with his wife Sharon, who answers the phone and orders windshields for the business. Joe’s Auto Glass is located on their property beside their house.
“He does exceptional service,” Sharon said of her husband. “He enjoys doing it.”
She said Joe has kept up with the industry over the years by attending trainings and programs. Joe’s Auto Glass is fully accredited with the state and is set up to work with insurance companies.
Joe is mostly mobile, traveling to the customer and to body shops and dealerships. He also schedules jobs in his shop if necessary.
“If we can help them, we will,” Sharon said.
The business strives to provide fast service and works with four suppliers to try to get clients a good deal, she said.
“We’re not out to make a killing,” Sharon said. “We just want to make a living. We want to give the customers the best price and the best service that we can give them.”
She said many of Joe’s customers had been encouraging him to open his own business for years.
“He has a large customer base which followed him from job to job before he went out on his own,” Sharon said. “They came with us, and that’s been wonderful.”
Joe said business is going well so far, and he enjoys getting to interact with the customers.
“You meet all different people every day,” he said.
He said Joe’s Auto Glass has a personality that is unique compared to competitors. Joe tries to always treat his customers with respect.
“If you treat people the way you want to be treated, the business will come,” he said.
Joe’s Auto Glass LLC is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Emergency service is also available. For more information, call 367-1096.
