FSU football announces two upcoming camps

FAIRMONT — The Fairmont State football program will be hosting its second-annual Senior Showcase on Sunday, July 27 from 12-4 p.m. at Duvall-Rosier Field.

The cost of the showcase will be $30 per camper and includes combine evaluations (height, weight, bench press, vertical jump and broad jump), field testing (40-yard dash, pro agility and three-cone drill) and position specific drills.

Each camper will receive a copy of their combine results and a showcase t-shirt.

Registration will begin at noon on July 27. Please bring payment, registration form, proof of insurance and a copy as your last athletic physical to registration.

The Fairmont State football program will also being hosting a Future Falcon Football Camp from June 18-20 at Duvall-Rosier Field. The camp will be from 6-8:30 p.m. each day and the cost is $45 per camper.

Members of the Fairmont State coaching staff will teach campers rules, skills, and techniques to enhance their fundamentals and enjoyment of the game. This is a non-contact teaching and skills camp open to eight (8) year olds through rising eighth (8th) graders for the fall of 2014.

Fairmont State Football is committed to providing exceptional personal instruction and our goal is to teach exceptional football skills, as well as the fundamentals, and techniques of the game. Our staff is excited to provide all campers with top-notch instruction and this camp session is fully devoted to the youth.

Interested participants can register online for the camp with payment due at registration. Each camper will receive a 2014 camp t-shirt and will be invited to a pizza party following the final day of the camp.

Payment is due upon registration on Wednesday, June 18th. Cash or check accepted; please make all checks payable to Fairmont State - Friends of Football. Along with payment, campers will be required to present a physical, proof of insurance and parents will be required to sign an assumption of risk form.
