Crutchfield, Radcliff win Eston K. Feaster Award

FAIRMONT — Caitlin Crutchfield and Ryan Radcliff have been named the 2014 recipients of the Eston K. Feaster Award.

The award is given annually to the male and female Fairmont State University senior athletes with the highest cumulative grade-point average.

Crutchfield and Radcliff will be recognized at the FSAA Spring Scholarship Banquet on Saturday, May 3, at 5:30 p.m., in Gym 1 of the Falcon Center.

Tickets are $60 for adults and $30 for students, with net proceeds going to support athletic scholarships. Longtime NFL and NCAA official Gene Steratore will be the keynote speaker.

Crutchfield, a native of Fairmont, is a four-year letterwinner on the Fairmont State women’s tennis team.

In her four seasons with the Falcons, she helped lead the team to a pair of winning seasons in 2010 and 2011. As a senior, Crutchfield picked up an 8-2 doubles victory and a 6-3, 6-0 singles victory to help lead the Falcons to a 7-2 victory over Marietta College. Crutchfield has maintained a 3.73 grade-point average while pursuing a degree in exercise science.

Radcliff, a native of Parkersburg, was a four-year standout on the FSU men’s swimming team.

In his time at Fairmont State, Radcliff was a member of one of the best relay teams in school history. Radcliff’s relay team holds school and pool records in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay.

Radcliff has already graduated with a 3.78 grade-point average in criminal justice and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in the same field.
