Amos, Zundell set to reign in the Mountain East Conference

BRIDGEPORT — Fairmont Senior alumni Reid Amos and Adam Zundell, are teaming up as commissioner and associate commissioner for the Mountain East Conference.

Both men will be a part of history. With this being the first year of the Mountain East Conference, both men will serve as the first — Amos, as the first commissioner of the Mountain East Conference, and Zundell, as the associate commissioner.

The duo is eager to take what they learned in their previous jobs and accumulate a plan to create one of the most dominant Division II conferences in the nation. They are formulating plans on a daily basis and holding numerous meetings that allow them to stay organized and on top of their game.

    Fairmont State’s men’s basketball team has added another important piece to the roster for the upcoming season in junior college guard Wil Martinez, coach Jerrod Calhoun announced Thursday.
    The signing comes at the same time that the Falcons have finished their schedule for the 2014-15 season, a schedule that coach Calhoun is ecstatic about.
