FAIRMONT —
Former Marion County Commissioner Cecily M. Enos will be running again in the May 13 Democratic primary in a bid to regain a seat on the county commission.
Enos lost her seat in 2002 to Alan Parks, the incumbent commissioner who is seeking re-election to a second six-year term. Parks is unopposed so far in the Republican primary.
Enos was among a number of candidates filing on Friday and Saturday seeking the nomination of their parties to run in the Nov. 4 general election.
Candidates had until midnight Saturday to file their papers at the county clerk’s office at the Marion County courthouse. Those who mailed their papers had to have them postmarked by midnight Saturday by the U.S. Postal Service.
Candidates who are running for statewide office or in multi-county districts, like the 41st or 42nd House Districts had to file with the Secretary of State in Charleston.
