FBI offers reward for information about bank robbery

BRUCETON MILLS — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $1,000 reward for information about a bank robbery in Preston County.

A masked gunman came into the WesBanco branch office in Bruceton Mills Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. and demanded money from the tellers. He used a revolver and was wearing a black- or dark gray-and-white jacket and a ski mask. He may have been driving a red pickup truck.

Matt Gorham, a supervisory senior resident agent with Clarksburg’s FBI office, said the reward will given for the identification, arrest and successful prosecution of the suspect.

Those with information are asked to call the FBI at 304-624-6200 or the Preston County Sheriff’s department at 304-329-1611.
