Bob Cover and his wife believe in splitting things down the middle.
Since Bob works in Morgantown and his wife works at WesBanco here in Fairmont, they live halfway between the two towns.
And Bob just believes that helping out, wherever he can, is the right way to go. His wife helps him in some areas also.
Bob Cover is the Times West Virginian’s “Everyday Hero” of the week.

He’s a firefighter
“I’ve been a career firefighter for the past 20 years,” Bob says. “Because of that I must live within 10 miles of the fire station.
“So we live halfway between the two towns. My wife Terri works at WesBanco in Fairmont.”
Both are involved at the Central United Methodist Church on Fairmont Avenue.
“I’m in the choir there,” Bob says. “And we are both district coordinators for the Mon Valley United Methodist Church. “They enjoy working with young people.
Bob also takes an active role with the Fairmont Senior High swimming teams.
“I’m a swimming official,” he says. “And recently we had a recognition dinner for the Fairmont Area Swim Team (FAST).”
He not only went to the dinner for that team, but he also cooked it. He enjoys working in the kitchen.

Despite averaging more than 55 hours a week as a career firefighter, Bob Cover devotes much of his time to volunteering at his church and with local programs such as the Fairmont Senior High swimming teams. He is this week’s “Everyday Hero.” Times West Virginian
