On July 1 at approximately 6 a.m., U.S. Marshals from Clarksburg and Pittsburgh apprehended Steven Cory Green in the Homewood community of Pittsburgh.
Green was charged with violating his conditions of pretrial release on May 21. Authorities said Green tested positive for cocaine on May 14 following his conviction in federal court at trial for his role in the distribution of cocaine in Fairmont with codefendant Sheryl Goff.
“The investigation began the Monday following the warrant being issued,” said Alex Neville, the Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal.
The Clarksburg U.S. Marshals office was able to send an alert to Indiana, where U.S. Marshals attempted to apprehend Green in South Marion, Ind., at his address of record, but they quickly learned that Green had not returned there following his conviction in federal court.
