Salvation Army leaders eager to get started

Marion County has two new Salvation Army leaders to continue the Army’s work here — and they are eager to get started.
Captains Bob and Julie Cornett have come to this region from Beckley where they were the leaders for the past five years.
“There are fewer counties (in this region) than we had in Beckley, but as far as I can tell they are bigger counties,” he said. “I have found we have a little debt in this area that we didn’t have in Beckley, but the Lord will provide.”
He said he and his wife have been quite busy unpacking.
“We’ll probably be doing that until sometime next year,” he said with a laugh. “My wife is down in Charlotte now, as an officer who was a good friend passed away.”
