According to several Fairmont Senior High School baseball officials, the nearly 20-year-old lights that illuminate night games at Watson’s Mary Lou Retton Park are in need of some attention.
And Wednesday, the Marion County Commission agreed to look into helping raise the necessary funds to fix the problem.
“We would like to make the facility a lot better,” FSHS baseball coach Steve Naternicola said to the commissioners Wednesday morning.
The only high school team without a field of its own, the Polar Bears utilize the fields at Mary Lou Retton Park to practice and host home games.
