BOE approves personnel actions

FAIRMONT The Marion County Board of Education approved the following personnel actions at its regular meeting:

The resignation of Fairmont Senior High instructor Millie Swiger and East Fairmont Junior High boys basketball coach Ted Offutt was approved.

Amanda Uhl was hired as a science instructor at EFJHS.

The following professional personnel were re-employed: Kylie Huggins, Title I reading/math at East Park Elementary; Stephanie Ledsome, Title I pre-K support at Monongah Elementary, for the 2008-09 school year only; Lynette Lemon, Title I reading/math at East Park; Deborah Moore, counselor at East Fairmont High; Julie Morris, fourth grade at Watson; Janice Pitrolo, adult basic education instructor at Marion County Adult and Community Education Center; Beverly Richards, Title I reading/math at East Park; Sarah Sago, second grade at Rivesville; Angela Tomblyn, fourth grade at Watson.

The following were employed as part-time test preparation instructors for adult basic education: Brianna Boone, Kevin Egidi and Amy Cunningham.

The following were employed as substitute teachers: Jackie Hammond, elementary; Julie Cunningham, substitute permit; Susan Davis, home economics, SLD; Melanie Feltz, elementary; Lenora Franks, elementary; Thomas Garrett, elementary, social studies; Marion Higgins, biology, science; Rachel Hullderman, elementary; Erin Linger, elementary; Robert McCormick, social studies; Kelly Michael, substitute permit; Amy Jo Raines, elementary.

The following were placed in the positions they held last year because the reason for their Reduction In Force was removed before Aug. 1: Andrew Weekly, English/language arts at Monongah Middle; Stacy Angelo, English/language arts at West Fairmont Middle.

The following professional personnel were reassigned: Tami Alexander, from WFMS counselor to FSHS counselor; Beverly Barr, from fourth grade at Fairview Elementary to special education at EFJHS; Vicki Bombard, from transfer list to kindergarten at Rivesville; Joyce Conrad, from special education at EFHS to special education liason at Central Office; Tama Core, from prekindergarten at Jayenne to kindergarten at Jayenne; Jane DeVaul, from English/language arts at Mannington Middle to East Park Dean of Students; Sally Feltz, from FSHS English to Central Office Fast ForWord/Benchmark coach at Central Office; Tammy Hebert, from special education at East Park to special education at East Dale; Barbara Knotts, from first grade at East Park to first grade at Jayenne; Crystal Miller, from Title I at Monongah Elementary to fifth grade at Mannington Middle; Scott Morris, from kindergarten at East Park to East Dale Dean of Students; Rick Ott, from social studies at Mannington Middle to Dean of Students at that school; Vicki Smith, from Rivesville Title I to Rivesville fourth grade; Katrina Wilson, from third grade at East Park to third grade at Rivesville.
