Watch the sky (and the weather).
The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a hazardous weather outlook for today for northern West Virginia, east-central Ohio, western Maryland and Pennsylvania.
An outlook isn’t the same as a watch or a warning, said NWS forecaster Pat Herald.
“When we issue a warning, that means it’s happening,” Herald said. An outlook means weather conditions are such that a storm could form.
“What the models are telling us is that atmospheric situation as modeled is setting up pretty nicely for potential severe weather,” Herald said.
