Industrial Park Access Road Fund project brings $115,000 to county

FAIRMONT — In July, Charlie Reese, Marion County Commission director of economic and community development, sent in an application for the Industrial Park Access Road Fund.

During Wednesday’s Marion County Commission meeting, he was proud to announce the conclusion of this project, worth $115,000. Support from the Marion County Commission, the highway department and the development department in Charleston made this possible, he said.

Once in terrible shape, according to Commissioner Randy Elliott, the area will soon be “fixed up” with pothole repair, the repair of the drop inlet, additional paving and new wear coat on the roads.
