FAIRMONT — The first-degree murder trial for Kristyn Lorraine Palmer, the Baxter woman charged

with the premeditated shooting death of her father in December 2011, has

been continued to the June term of the Marion County Circuit Court.

In a status hearing Thursday morning before Circuit Judge Michael Aloi,

defense attorney Christine Mulligan presented the motion so she and

defense co-counsel Fran Whiteman could have time to review the

approximately 30,000 images on a computer disc retrievable only by the

West Virginia State Police Forensics Lab.

Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Patrick N. Wilson objected, saying

defense has had the disc.

Palmer's trial is now set for late September. This is her sixth trial date.

Her husband, Michael Palmer, faces the same charges in the crime. He is

scheduled to go to trial this summer.
