It’s a new school year with new students, new ideas and new standards.
Superintendent of Schools Gary Price said teachers in Marion County feel prepared to teach to those new Common Core Standards which are being implemented in schools across the country.
“I feel very confident that the teachers are very well prepared,” he said.
Known in West Virginia as the Next Generation standards, Price believes the new set of expectations will lead students to better futures.
“It is the way to move forward with education in the state of West Virginia,” he said.
