Covered walkway part of school improvements at Rivesville

FAIRMONT — Rivesville Elementary and Middle School got off on the right foot this school year.  

Earlier this week, the building was outfitted with furniture for students, including brand new desks and tables. Not only that, but a covered walkway that will protect students and faculty from weather elements when walking between buildings on the school’s campus is nearly completed.

According to Rivesville principal Mark Stutler, the covered walkway is something that has been needed for quite some time.

“That’s something that had been presented to the LSIC (Local School Improvement Council) for the past 25 years,” Stutler said.
