The Fairmont Community Development Partnership is celebrating the creation of new, affordable rental homes in the Friendly City.
Next Thursday, April 11, the organization is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its brand new triplex housing unit at 2 Spence St. in Fairmont. The event starts at 11:30 a.m. and is open to the public.
Three different houses are linked together as one structure at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Spence Street, within close proximity to Woodlawn Cemetery’s office. Residents have already been identified to lease the units, which have three bedrooms each, and will be moving in the day after the open house, said Bob Gribben, executive director of the FCDP.
