Vision screenings offered to Barrackville students

FSHS senior teams up with Lions Club to provide free tests

BARRACKVILLE — Students at Barrackville Elementary School received free vision screenings Wednesday as part of a high schooler’s senior project.

Ali Sansalone, a senior at Fairmont Senior High School, partnered with the Barrackville Lions Club to provide elementary students with a free vision screening.

The screening was part of Sansalone’s senior project. During the screening, each student read letters and numbers they saw on different lines.

“I did my project on optometry,” Sansalone said. “We had the kids come in and do the eye screening to see how good their vision is.”
