Four people were sent to local hospitals following a single-vehicle accident Sunday at exit 132 northbound lane of I-79 at 10:12 p.m.
According to Central Communications, the vehicle was found lying against the guardrail with positive entrapment. Three patients were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital and one to Fairmont General. Their injuries or conditions are not known.
Pleasant Valley and Winfield volunteer fire departments, Marion County Rescue Squad and the Fairmont Detachment of the West Virginia State Police responded.
The northbound lane of I-79 was shut down for more than an hour.
