For more than 25 years, the Mannington Food Pantry has been helping to make sure folks in the North Marion area don’t go hungry by providing monthly food assistance.
But pantry director Colleen Morris wanted to do something more. For several months, she and volunteers have been working to renovate and transform a building next door to Main Street Mannington into something new.
And on Saturday, with an official ribbon cutting ceremony, the C.R.O.S.S. (Community Reaching Out Serving Soup) Soup Kitchen hosted an open house, showing the community the progress that’s been made and celebrating the difference they expect to make in the community.
