Wednesday was a busy day for the justice system in Marion County.
U.S. Marshals arrested a fugitive from justice in Fairmont Wednesday afternoon.
Curitis Joe Motes of Gainesville, Ga., was arrested while walking across the High Level Bridge at around 5 p.m., said Alex Neville, supervisory deputy U.S. Marshal Northern West Virginia.
This arrest ended a nationwide search for Motes, 27.
“Motes has been in Fairmont for the past few weeks and was homeless,” Neville said.
Motes was wanted by the Hall County (Ga.) Sheriff’s Office for felony probation violations with original of child molestation.
