Man arrested on endangerment, animal-cruelty charges

FAIRMONT — A Fairmont man was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies Jan. 20 on wanton endangerment and animal cruelty charges.

According to the criminal complaint filed at Marion County Magistrate Court, Charles Earl Jones III, 28, of Box 391, Worthington, allegedly shot two dogs belonging to his sister and brother-in-law on that date.

According to the complaint, Sheriff’s Deputy J.A. Williamson was dispatched to a residence on Parrish Run Road, Farmington.

There, the defendant told Williamson he had shot the animals, the complaint said.
