Getting volunteers involved is becoming a struggle for one local non-profit organization.
Teri Dalton, executive director for the Marion County Habitat for Humanity (MCHH), said she hopes to get more volunteers to help complete a three-year project.
“It’s a struggle to keep volunteers,” she said. “Ideally it takes about a year; this house has taken about three years now.”
Dalton said when the project first started it was moving quickly and things were getting done, but there have been several issues that have put building a house for a family behind schedule.
