Throughout the next couple of weeks, several children from New York will be visiting West Virginia for a chance to explore nature and experience outdoor activities that are not available to them in the city.
Through the Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit organization that makes these experiences possible, local families are able to host children who come from low-income families from each of the five burroughs of New York City and introduce them to a variety of activities such as camping, hiking and fishing.
Robert Eubank and his wife Rachel, of Fairmont, are the co-chairpersons of the North Central West Virginia branch of the Fresh Air Fund.
