Mannington’s annual Street Jam attracts crowd despite rain: PHOTOS

MANNINGTON — Mannington Promise for Kids had its annual Street Jam on Saturday evening, but thanks to the weather, it wasn’t on the street.

Despite the rain, families came to Citizen Square (or in this case, the adjacent building) to hear live entertainment, participate in a talent show and enjoy activities for kids.

“Everywhere you build a senior center you need to be building a youth center at the same time,” said Karen Morris, president of MPFK.

That philosophy birthed the organization, which in turn led to the Street Jam.
