The sixth trial date will be set for Kristyn Palmer.
The Baxter woman, charged with the first-degree shooting death of her father, Everett “Ed” Wilson in December 2011, had been set to go to trial Sept. 9.
But Thursday, Fran Whiteman, a co-defense counsel, told Marion Circuit Judge Michael Aloi they were not ready for several reasons.
In the end, Aloi granted their unwritten motion to continue the capital murder case to the October term of court.
This means Palmer will not go to trial until at least late December or January 2014, more than two years after her husband allegedly shot her father to death at their home.
