If you’re planning on traveling from Rivesville to Fairmont or vice-versa on Tuesday or Wednesday, you may want to reconsider your route.
Construction on the CSX railroad crossing on Route 19 is scheduled to go from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, closing the road for 12 hours at a time. The company posted a sign near the intersection to warn residents ahead of time.
“People are just going to have to plan,” said Rivesville Mayor Jim Hershman. He said the town wasn’t consulted about the work specifically, but the subject had come up in conversation with a CSX representative regarding another issue.
