I-79 Development Council relaunches biometrics initiative

BRIDGEPORT — Through collaboration, the I-79 Development Council is working to get the word out about what’s happening in the region and to expand the economy.

This multi-county marketing and economic development organization, which is anchored in North Central West Virginia, came together for its monthly meeting Thursday afternoon at Steptoe & Johnson PLLC in Bridgeport’s White Oaks business park. The council advocates for economic diversity, concentrates on growing the economy of the I-79 Corridor, and works together to develop solutions for problems affecting the region.

The entity has begun to meet the second Thursday of every month.
