Natalie Tennant stresses importance of education during visit with students

FAIRMONT — Secretary of State Natalie Tennant visited North Marion High School last week to talk with students involved in Marion County’s Youth Leadership Program.

The program includes students from all three of the county’s high schools. Tennant said she feels it is important to take advantage of opportunities to connect with the younger people in the community.

Tennant, a NMHS alumna, spoke about her ups and downs as a student and how she learned and grew from her experiences.
