WHITE HALL —
Officials are making progress toward annexing the Cloverdale neighborhood into White Hall’s town limits.
During Monday’s town council meeting, town attorney J.T. Hodges told council they are able to move forward in annexing Cloverdale into the town.
“We have petitions from the residents,” he said. “We’re OK with the number (of petitions) we have because we have more than 50 percent of the voters and the land owners.”
Hodges said bringing in Cloverdale would be a minor boundary adjustment.
“If they come in by petition, we will need an ordinance specifically for that petition certifying that to submit to the county commission,” Hodges said.
