Two arrested after multi-agency chase

FAIRMONT — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department participated in a multi-agency chase through Fairmont Wednesday after deputies were called to investigate a suspicious sale.

Charles Hager and Derek Linear were arrested and charged with fleeing on foot. Hager was additionally charged with driving with no operator’s license, fleeing and capias.

According to Sheriff Joe Carpenter, deputies were contacted by Three Rivers Metal that Hager was selling something. When deputies arrived to see if it was stolen property, he allegedly “took off.”
