Marion County deputies made an arrest Wednesday in an open burglary case from earlier in the year.
John Wilbur Bowman Jr., 24, of HC 67 Box 45, Hundred, was charged with one count of nighttime burglary, a felony offense.
According to criminal complaints, on Feb. 6, deputies were notified of suspicious individuals seen running out of a residence on Johnny Cake Hollow Road.
After arriving on scene, deputies were reportedly told by the resident a chainsaw and three car batteries had been stolen from the garage. Deputies were later advised that a Mannington police officer had stopped a vehicle “with several car batteries in the trunk.”
