Rabbits make great pets, but not for young children: PHOTOS

FAIRMONT — Did you see him last night?

Did he visit your house?

Did the Easter Bunny leave chocolate eggs and other sweet treats?

After Bugs, he’s probably the most popular rabbit on the planet.

For vet tech Jamie Smith and her sisters and mom, the only good Easter bunny for little children is either made of chocolate or stuffed with cotton.

It’s only natural to want to give your children a little cuddly adorable baby bunny for Easter.

Their eyes are so large and nose so small.

And then there are the ears … tall and straight, or droopy and lopped.

Who can resist?

If you can’t, take Smith’s advice.

Inside bunnies need a cage. Outdoor rabbits will need a hutch.

“They need to be safe,” she said. “You don’t want the family dog or cat thinking it’s fun to chase a bunny.”
