It appears as if Tuesday will be sunny with a high of 42 degrees, but with wind gusts and humidity, Accuweather predicts the RealFeel temperature will be closer to the mid 30s.
Times West Virginian publisher Chuck Jessup will put on cold-weather gear and climb to the roof of the newspaper’s building for a cause.
And he isn’t coming down until the annual Times West Virginian Gift of Love Food Drive is a success.
Last year, the community opened their hearts, pantries and pocketbooks and filled 13 pallets full of good, nutritious food to donate to local pantries. So far, we’ve collected enough for at least two pallets. However, the monetary contributions have been flooding in. Today, we’re $1,365 away from the goal of $5,000, which will be used to purchase bulk food from Shop ’n Save at a discounted price.
