Numerous residents approached Fairmont City Council members at Tuesday’s meeting to express their feelings regarding parking tickets that were recently issued.
The “left to curb” tickets were issued to the owners of vehicles that were parked along the street facing opposite the direction of traffic.
Residents told council that members of the community were upset with the fashion in which the tickets were issued. According to several residents, they had been parking that way in their neighborhoods for several years, and it had previously been treated by the city as an accepted practice.
