The Road to Recovery program.
Do you know anything about it?
The organizers are attempting to get the word out on this most valuable program.
The Road to Recovery is a volunteer service for Marion County residents who have cancer.
Road to Recovery volunteers drive cancer patients to and from their doctors’ appointments if they lack other transportation — to Clarksburg and Morgantown as well as Fairmont.
“Being a volunteer driver is a great thing for retired people,” Jill Vangari of the American Cancer Society said. ”We’ve got some excellent volunteers, but we are seeking to find a few more of them.”
