A Marion County man has been arrested by Marion County sheriff’s deputies and charged with nine felony counts involving minors, sexually explicit conduct and obscene matter.
According to the criminal complaint filed at the Marion County Magistrate Court, Robert Lucas Lough, 19, of 155 Moody Run Road, Fairmont, is charged with:
• Three counts of distribution and display to a minor of obscene matter, which is punishable by up to two years in the penitentiary and a fine of up to $2,000.
• Three counts of soliciting a minor, which is punishable by up to five years in a state correctional facility or a fine of up to $25,000, or both.
• Three counts of exhibition of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, punishable by up to 10 years in a state correctional facility or a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 22, Detective Jeannette Williamson of the sheriff’s department obtained a search warrant for Lough’s cellphone. She discovered that three female minors had sent him photographs of themselves in a sexually explicit manner.
The messages were sent through a data messaging system called KIK.
The first girl said she was 15 and a sophomore in high school. On Oct. 12, Lough sent her a message telling her “You kinda turn me on” and asked if she would mind if he “talked dirty” to her and made other suggestive statements.
On Oct. 13 he sent her a photograph of his genitalia, with additional inappropriate comments.
On Oct. 15 he sent her a text describing how he wanted to have physical relations with her and how he would perform this action. She sent him photographs of her “barely clothed” body after he asked for them. Her age was confirmed by school records.
The second female identified herself as age 14 and from Michigan. She and Lough allegedly shared “extensive conversations and shared multiple nude photographs of each other.”
Lough sent her several photographs of his genitalia, and also described how he wanted to have physical relations with her and how he would perform this action.
The third female said she was 15 and lived in Fairmont. The complaint states the two sent “many sexually explicit photographs” over a couple of months.
She sent many of her fully nude conducting sexual acts to herself. He also sent her photos conducting sexual acts to himself. He also described how he wanted to have physical relations with her and how he would perform this action.
All the events took place in Marion County.
He is lodged at the North Central Regional Jail with a $90,000 bond, or $10,000 per charge.
• A Fairmont man was arrested Oct. 31 by Fairmont police and charged with malicious wounding.
According to the criminal complaint filed at the Marion County Magistrate Court, Jason Matthew Blosser, 25, of 1519 Morgantown Ave., Apt. 10, Fairmont, was arrested after allegedly striking and stabbing a male victim in the hand after an altercation on Merchant Street early Thursday morning.
The victim was taken to Fairmont General Hospital for treatment.
According to Blosser, the incident took place after the victim had argued with the woman who was the driver of the car in which they were passengers.
An eyewitness told police he saw Blosser stab the victim in the hand. Officers found him at the Morgantown Avenue address. He told police they “would not understand” because he doesn’t “go after someone.”
He is lodged in the North Central Regional Jail on $5,000 bond.
