Paper rockets flew down the hallway at Fairmont Catholic School on Thursday morning, as a group of students watched in awe.
Launched from a machine, the rockets were made out of paper, clay and a straw.
“It was really fun and I learned a lot from it,” third-grade student Louise Leach said. “I learned how to make a mini rocket and that instead of throwing it down, you just have to drop it.”
Fellow classmate Caitlin Oltman also enjoyed the rocket launch during what is a highly anticipated day at Fairmont Catholic each year.
Math Science Tech Day has been held for the past several years and is geared toward sparking an interest in math and science.
