Monongah residents and resale customers of the town’s water supply will soon see an increase in water rates.
Following a rate study by the West Virginia Public Service Commission (PSC) in February, the agency found that an increase was needed. That increase took effect this month.
Monongah Mayor Don Harris said customers will see their bills increase in August.
The increase will affect all Monongah water customers and resale customers, including the Town of Farmington, the Town of Worthington and Coon’s Run Public Service District.
