The Marion County Sheriff’s Department made multiple arrests early in the week for charges of drug possession and unlawful wounding.
Mark Anthony Stemple, 37, of 484 Katy Road, Fairmont, was arrested Monday and charged with unlawful wounding.
According to a criminal complaint, Stemple struck another individual “in the face with a glass bowl” on Monday, causing multiple lacerations to the individual’s face. The victim of the attack was allegedly taken to Fairmont General Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the incident.
Stemple was arrested and arraigned in Marion County, where bond was set at $100,000. He is being held at the North Central Regional Jail in Doddridge County.
If convicted, Stemple faces one to five years in prison or an alternative sentence of up to 12 months in prison and a fine of no more than $500.
On Sunday, deputies arrested Christopher Alan Wilson, 19, of 1166 Pleasant Valley Road, Fairmont, on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, a felony.
