North Marion’s girls’ soccer team saw its four-game win streak come to an end with a 3-0 loss to No. 9 Lincoln in a Tuesday night matchup in Fairview.
The Huskies took 15 shots to Lincoln’s seven but simply failed to put them in the net.
“I think we played with a lack of enthusiasm,” North coach Steve Rodriguez said. “Monday we were real aggressive and played with real enthusiasm and tonight we were dead.
“We had the opportunities. We just failed to put them in. I don’t think the cold was a factor ... last night was just as cold and we scored 10 goals. We’re going to go hard in practice tomorrow and go over fundamentals for Thursday’s game against Lewis County.”
The most notable player on the Huskies’ side was goalie Danielle Fluharty, who made four saves and has stopped 90-plus saves this season.
