The Greater Paw Paw Public Service District will now provide sewerage service to a small community in Monongalia County.
This is thanks to the approval by the Marion County Commission of a boundary adjustment for that PSD.
At Wednesday’s meeting, Jarrod G. DeVault, legal representative for the GPPPSD, explained that the community of Crown has “a pressing need for ... an appropriate waste water management system,” according to the West Virginia DEP.
Crown lies about three miles beyond the GPP’s boundary, DeVault said.
Since 1973, the Greater Paw Paw PSD has provided sewerage and sewage disposal service for Fairview, Grant Town, Baxter, Rivesville and adjacent areas of Marion County.
