Turley Center renovations designed to enhance student services

FAIRMONT — As renovations of Fairmont State University’s Turley Center continue, faculty and staff are coming closer to having one convenient location for student services at their disposal.

Kaye Caplinger Widney, vice president of student services at FSU, said there are several steps students must complete at the institution, including getting admitted, receiving a student ID and a parking pass, putting together a class schedule, getting financial aid in place and more. The completion of the Turley Center should make that entire process smoother.

“What I’m hoping is that we can do that all in one area, and the students can walk out of here and now just be a student,” Widney said.
