You don’t have to be with your kids 24/7 to be a great one.
Andy Niessner is a single, divorced dad with two daughters, Drea, 7, and Charlotte, 4. He splits custody of them with his ex-wife. They’re with him every other week.
If it’s his week with the girls, they are his only plans, he said.
“I always wanted to be a dad. I didn’t plan to be a single dad, but it happened. I feel like they need me more than ever before.”
He wants to be a good role model for them, so they do as many fun things as they can, like going out for ice cream.
