FAIRMONT — It’s time to honor the Vietnam veterans of West Virginia.

A mobile wall honoring the 732 servicemen from West Virginia who were POWs, MIAs and KIAs from that conflict will be revealed Saturday at Veterans’ Square.

After this, it will travel across the state, never resting, always on the road, said Cecilio Bezares, Vietnam veteran and committee chair.

“The West Virginia State Council of Vietnam Veterans of America will visit Fairmont to display the mobile wall,” he said.

“This is the only one of its kind in the state. And Fairmont has been chosen to dedicate the wall for the first time.”
