WHITE HALL —
A fire at Magic’s Bar & Grill in White Hall Thursday morning caused heavy damage to the structure despite the best attempts of several Marion County volunteer fire departments.
The fire was toned at 11:31 a.m. according to 911 dispatch logs. Roger Mundell, a firefighter with Valley Volunteer Fire Department, was one of the first on scene.
“We had heavy smoke showing,” he said. Assistant Chief Fred McDonald, who arrived on scene later, said the exact cause is still under investigation.
White Hall Police Chief Geno Guerrieri said that, at this time, it is believed the fire was electrical in nature, beginning in an electrical box visible from the inside.
