PLEASANT VALLEY —
The sidewalk installations at Pleasant Valley are going smoothly, and the city is working to get as much done as quickly as possible.
At Wednesday’s council meeting, the members unanimously voted to amend the project installing the sidewalk in Kingmont, adding an additional 270 feet of sidewalk from the airport curb to the Shell gas station.
The sidewalk installation going on right now is funded through federal and state grants obtained with the help of the Region VI Planning and Development Council. However, because of the nature of the funding, the earliest that section of road was expected to have a sidewalk installed was spring 2015.
