Mon YouthBuild looking for young men, women who can make a difference

FAIRMONT — Mon YouthBuild is looking for young men and women interested in pursuing their GED certification and learning new skills.

“We’re looking for young people that want to make a difference in improving their lives, getting a foothold on their future, but also improving elements of their community,” said Taylor Runner, program coordinator.

Mon YouthBuild falls under the umbrella of the Human Resource Development Foundation (HRDF), a private non-profit company that administers training programs throughout the state. The program itself is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor as one of about 250 similar programs across the country.
